About Mad City Chapter 2:

A game that could have been very generic is actually turned into a engaging representation of the movies. None of the mechanics, such as fuel, health, water, scavenging and activities feel contrived. They have been implemented in a manner that doesn’t serve as a hindrance to your gameplay, rather an addition. The look of the game is also very much on par with how a Mad Max setting should look like, with minor details that go a long way to add to the atmosphere. One of my favourite aspects of the game is the random storm encounter – which devours the wasteland from time to time, and is just super cool to get caught in. Combat is fun and engaging enough, although nothing spectacular. Hand to hand utilizes and Arkham style combat system which works as expected, and vehicle combat gives the appropriate weight and heft to make it feel authentic. The world is littered with activities and challenges, which are mostly optional and add an additional layer of content for completionists. The story is serviceable. You can play this game through your own pace, and it does not force the story nor side activities on you, which is always a plus. Some bugs are present – graphical glitches and the likes. However, i felt they added to my enjoyment of the game and gave me a good chuckle. All in all a very enjoyable game, albeit a bit repetitive. Again, nothing is forced on you (story/side activities/mechanics), so it serves to be a good experience.Mad max almost perfectly fills a space of driving, fighting, lore, and base building. with the large map and exploration helping you to immerse yourself in the adventure and the magnum opus being your lifeline throughout the whole game.
